The Arizona Cardinals were destroyed 58-0 by the Seattle Seahawks Sunday, marking the worst loss in the history of the franchise. It was Arizona's ninth straight loss.

Speculation is running wild on a couple of fronts. First, whether or not the Cardinals quit on head coach Ken Whisenhunt, who's coaching seat got noticeably hotter following the loss.

"I can't comment on that, I have no comment," defensive tackle Darnell Dockett said Monday when asked about whether the confidence in Whisenhunt has faded in recent weeks .

Dockett was fined a hefty amount by the Cardinals organization last week for his part in an on-field disagreement with teammate Kerry Rhodes over a directive from the coaching staff to let the New York Jets score in the latter stages of the game. Dockett disagreed with the instructions, but it was for naught because Jets running back Shonn Greene fell down on his own short of the goal line, killing the clock in an ugly 7-6 win.

Dockett also started the game on the bench as a result, and played in only 55% of the snaps on defense.

Following the discipline, Dockett was asked if he's still happy wearing Cardinal red.

"I don't know, I don't know," he responded. "I'm a hell of a competitor, I love what I do, I take what I do serious and I hold a lot of guys accountable and whatever situation comes my way, I'll be prepared for it."

There were many who witnessed the game Sunday that believe the Arizona Cardinals quit as a football team. That group includes Larry Fitzgerald's father, who made the proclamation on Twitter at halftime of the blowout loss.

"That's his opinion, I can't speak for no one else, I only can speak for Darnell Dockett," he said. "I can only say I didn't quit, and that's the best way I can put it."

Lets face it... He's losing playing time because he is getting old. I wonder what the Cards are going to do with him? Even with how incredibly strong ADub is, WE DO need a faster Strong Safety for pass coverage. But he's held his position because of his reputation #smashmouth. Idk if he is "the leader" on D, but, he is a leader our D needs. I wonder if he'd be interested in gaining like 10-15 pounds and playing Linebacker attacking the passer? Like I said, If he gains like 10 lbs minimum, he can be a good run defender too.

He puts the pressure on the passer whenever he Blitzes. He's a proven good pass rusher. I wonder if he'd be down to take that kind of role on??? He'd be sooo good at it! I could imagine the creative things our D could do with him at LB. Hes faster and as strong as most OLB's. Hes fast enough to cover most TEs in zone and strong enough to cover against moste TEs in man coverage. Its just a thought... I'd hate to lose ADub bcuz of his smashmouth style leadership. His loyalty... Id love to see him at LB.

    FANS don't make good GM's
DD is the heart of this team and if you doubt that look at how things have gotten when DD was unable to play or played through injury, this year. That fine was "immasculating and quite excessive" and I thought doing that to the real D leader was a destructive move that hurt the overall product on the field and demoralized the team in general because no player is going to "understand" that fine amount. Other ways to make a point to DD that are effective without leaving the rank bittness that this fine will and has braught.
