The Arizona Cardinals' already thin offensive line suffered another blow Monday, as center Lyle Sendlein will miss the remainder of the season with a torn MCL in his left knee.

The injury happened in the first quarter of Sunday's 31-17 loss to the St. Louis Rams.

Sendlein, in his sixth season with the Cardinals, has started the last 80 games for Arizona, a streak that began in 2008. He's been a stalwart in the middle of a line that has seen constant change around him.

According to AZCardinals.com, veteran Rich Ohrnberger is the team's backup center.

Sendlein is the third starting offensive lineman to go down with an injury this season. Tackles Levi Brown and Jeremy Bridges were injured in the preseason.

the hits just keep on coming.
I know people are upset with Whiz and all the personnel, but when you step back and look at all the key injuries that have occurred, it really makes you wonder what could have been. Of course, that doesn't make losing any easier though..

Yea but it still doesnt change the fact that he doesnt do a good job at acquiring talent. Whether it be him, Graves, or Bidwill who has the final say-so on talent acquisitions, they dont do a good job.

    Gotta Agree
Have to agree with FitzIsMyHero again. Sure it's not all the coaching staff's fault, some of the blame lands on the players' shoulders. But the fact that our 2nd string O-lineman couldn't get the job done shows how poorly this coaching staff judges some talent. Mind you they have had some pretty strong picks recently, but a lot of poor picks too. Shouldn't take a losing streak to realize this.
