Arizona Sports predicts Cardinals vs. Falcons

The Arizona Cardinals return from their bye week riding a five-game losing streak.

Good thing they get to play the team with the best record in football.

The Atlanta Falcons present a stiff challenge for the Cardinals, especially since this game will be in the Georgia Dome, where Arizona has not won since 1993.

Vince Marotta I know the Cardinals had a chance to evaluate what’s gone wrong during their bye week, but diagnosis isn’t the problem. At least Arizona is making a change at left tackle with Nate Potter stepping in for D’Anthony Batiste — we’ll see if he fares any better against a decent Atlanta pass rush. On defense, the Cardinals will have their hands full trying to contain the receiving duo of Julio Jones and Roddy White, which is arguably the best in the game right now. Arizona is rested, but without Calais Campbell and with their offensive issues mostly unresolved, I just don’t see the Cards going into Atlanta and beating a Falcons team that tasted defeat for the first time last week.

Final Score: Falcons 31, Cardinals 13
Doug Franz Atlanta’s offense is just too good to be controlled for 60 minutes. Arizona’s offense is not good enough to sustain long drives and keep Matt Ryan on the bench. The only matchup the Cardinals have an advantage is Cards fans are better than Falcons fans. Since the game is in Atlanta, that’s out the window.

Final Score: Falcons 45, Cardinals 13
Dave Burns I read other day that Mike Smith’s Falcons teams are 18-3 after a loss. I read the other day that Matt Ryan is 30-4 at home in the regular season. That gives me about 48 reasons to think the Cards won’t win in Atlanta. Forty-eight is also about the number of snaps Nate Potter has in his career, and he’s going up against John Abraham. So now I’ve got nearly 100 reasons to think they won’t win. Add in a refocused Falcons team after their first loss and no Calais Campbell and I’ve got another Arizona loss.

Final Score: Falcons 31, Cardinals 17
John Gambadoro The Atlanta Falcons have two issues when it comes to losing football games. One, they can’t win in the playoffs. Two, they can’t beat the New Orleans Saints, a team they’ve lost 11 out of their last 13 against. Since this is neither a playoff game or the Saints, there is no way the Cardinals can win. Atlanta is too balanced offensively and very good at home. Even coming off of the bye week Arizona will be hard-pressed to stay in this game. Nate Potter will have his hands full with John Abraham, and Arizona will have no answer for the Roddy White/Julio Jones combination.

Final Score: Falcons 31, Cardinals 13
Adam Green A Sunday without a Cardinals loss is a pleasant one, so with that said I’ll miss the bye week.

Ahh well, the Cards are back on the field to take on the Atlanta Falcons in a game that points very strongly to loss number six.

Matt Ryan is excellent, Julio Jones/Roddy White/Tony Gonzalez will be a pain to deal with, and the Falcons’ defense can get to the quarterback.

Oh goody.

Final Score: Falcons 27, Cardinals 10

Charlie Feinerman At one point this season, the Cardinals and Falcons were both 4-0. Since then the Falcons have proven that they are the best team in the NFC, while the Cardinals haven’t won a game. Arizona’s defense is good, but the Falcons’ defense is better. Every aspect of this matchup points to a landslide Atlanta victory, and that’s what I think will happen.

Final Score: Dirty Birds 41, Cardinals 6
Katy Hartley No surprise here, Falcons easily take this one at home. Atlanta’s high powered offense will just be too much for the Cards D…I’m interested to see how the Falcons do inside the red zone this week after they struggled against New Orleans last week.

Final Score: Falcons 31, Cardinals 17
Dave Dulberg A week off and a change along the offensive line seems nice in theory, but the Falcons receiving duo of Roddy White and Julio Jones will be too much for the Cardinals secondary in Atlanta. Arizona will be playing from behind all afternoon, and even in a dome the thought of John Skelton having another game of 40 or more passes isn’t an encouraging one. The Cardinals can’t keep up in a track meet, and they won’t have the firepower to do so on Sunday.

Final Score: Falcons 34, Cardinals 14
Carter Nacke Let’s see…the O-line is still terrible, Skelton is still starting and the Falcons are really, really good. This one will be over before it begins. Atlanta won’t post a lot of points on a rested Cardinals defense, but they’re not going to lose their second straight. Roddy White is tough to stop and I’m starting him on my fantasy team this week.

Final Score: Falcons 24, Cardinals 10
