Golden State’s Draymond Green gives embarrassing flop performance

Draymond Green is a great defensive player.
In fact, he finished second in the NBA Defensive Player of the Year voting announced Thursday, behind only San Antonio’s Kawhi Leonard.
However, what he pulled Thursday night in Game 3 against the New Orleans Pelicans wasn’t defense … or acting, for that matter. It was embarrassing.
While guarding Ryan Anderson beyond the three-point line, Green unleashed one of the most shameful flops we’ve seen in a long time. Sure, Anderson shifted his elbows in an attempt to better his position, but missed Green’s face by at least six inches.
Yet Green launched himself backward, and you guessed it, drew the offensive foul on Anderson.
It begs the question: how could this be a foul, but when Steph Curry was tackled by two New Orleans players on a game-tying three-pointer with only seconds left in regulation, there was no whistle?
Oh yeah, we remember. It’s because NBA officials aren’t very good at their jobs.
