Chicago Cubs pitcher Jon Lester fielded a comebacker hit by San Diego’s Clint Barmes, and the ball apparently got stuck in Lester’s glove.
So what did he do?
Throw the whole dang thing — mitt and ball — to first baseman Anthony Rizzo for the out.
.@JLester34 couldn’t get the ball out of the glove. SO HE TOSSED THE WHOLE GLOVE.

Rizzo may have just won “teammate of the week” for adapting to that one.
