It’s a bird…it’s a plane…it’s…Russell Westbrook and his monster jam

Oklahoma City guard Russell Westbrook threw down a superhuman dunk against the Philadelphia 76ers Wednesday.
Westbrook also wore a clear plastic mask due to recovery from surgery on a fractured zygomatic arch suffered when he took a knee to the head.
Between the mask and the flush, Westbrook seems to be morphing into a comic book character — and a legendary one, at that.
He finished the transcendent performance with 49 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists, and in doing so, became the first player since Michael Jordan (1988-89) with four straight triple-doubles (Jordan had seven).
Oh yeah, the Thunder beat Philadelphia 123-118 in overtime.
The heroic smash may not have been the dunk we needed, but the dunk we deserved. Or at least, one we thought was really, really cool.
