Keeping up with the Kardashians: Jump ball edition

Mar 24, 2013, 10:12 PM | Updated: Mar 25, 2013, 2:43 pm

Jump balls aren’t considered all that interesting, in fact the college game opts for a possession arrow when needed.

However, a jump ball in the Nets vs. Clippers game Saturday night sent the Staples Center crowd into a frenzy.

Why?

Because former brothers-in-law Lamar Odom and Kris Humphries were at the center of it.

We’re not going to go all Entertainment Tonight here, but the short end of it is that Odom is married to Khloe Kardashian, while Humphries was wed to older sister Kim for a grand total of 72 days.

Humphries’ marriage and subsequent divorce were for lack of a better word: public. And both Odom and Humphries became TV stars in their own right making regular appearances on the family’s reality shows.

Only in Los Angeles would this be a big deal. But as the two approached the jump circle, Clippers fans couldn’t get enough of it.
