Kevin Johnson asks LeBron James to buy the Kings

During his 12-year NBA career with the Phoenix Suns, Kevin Johnson always had a habit of coming up big when the pressure mounted.

With his NBA career well behind him, KJ now has another battle on his hands. As the mayor of Sacramento, Johnson is trying his hardest to keep the city’s only professional team (Kings) in town despite rampant rumors that a departure to Seattle is likely on the horizon.

Reigning MVP LeBron James is in town to play the Kings this weekend and stopped by KJ’s charity event Friday night.

Playing to the crowd, the former Sun posed a simple question to the eight-time All-Star: Can you buy the Kings?
