Winning championships is good for your job security.
Arizona Rattlers head coach and general manager Kevin Guy knows that firsthand, as he and the team agreed on a contract extension that runs through the 2014 season.
“I have a great relationship with Coach Guy and instill a lot of trust in him,” said Arizona Rattlers Majority Owner Ron Shurts in a press release. “Collectively we have a vision to bring back Arena Football like it was in the 90’s, Coach Guy has made this vision come true and I am glad to have him with our organization for another two years to continue this growth.”
Guy just finished his fourth season as head coach of the Rattlers and has compiled a 47-21 regular season record to go along with a 5-3 postseason mark, two conference championships and one Arena Bowl win.
The Rattlers beat the Philadelphia Soul 72-54 in Arena Bowl XXV in August to secure the franchise’s third league championship and first since 1997.
