Rattlers trade Kirton to San Jose

It's not very often two sporting rivals get together on
trades, but the Arizona Rattlers have collaborated on a
deal.
The Rattlers have sent recently-acquired FB/LB Johnnie Kirton to the San Jose Sabercats for WR/LB Jason Geathers. The trade comes just four days after the Sabercats completed a season sweep over the Rattlers with a 77-70 win at US Airways Center.
Kirton, who was picked up earlier this season, had one tackle and played primarily on special teams for the Rattlers.
Geathers caught 93 passes for 1,065 yards and scored 29 touchdowns for the Rattlers in 2011, but had been on the "failed to report" list with San Jose all season long.
The Rattlers host the Chicago Rush Saturday night. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
