The 18th annual Nike Tournament of Champions Girls Basketball Invitatioinal concluded on Saturday Dec. 21 with Arizona claiming two of the 12 bracket championships. Desert Vista won the White Division and South Mountain claimed the Black Division. All teams competed in an eight-team bracket except St. Mary's. Here are how Arizona's 21 schools finished in their respective brackets over the three-day tournament:
Desert Vista -- 1st White Division; South Mountain -- 1st Black Division; Dobson -- 2nd White Divsion; Marcos de Niza -- 2nd Red Division; Chandler -- 2nd Black Divison; Mesquite -- 3rd John Anderson; Hamilton -- 3rd Mike Desper; Williams Field -- 3rd Black Division; Basha -- 4th Green Division; Corona del Sol -- 5th Purple Division; Westview -- 5th Mike Desper; Valley Vista -- 5th Green Division; Perry -- 6th Purple Division; Red Mountain -- 7th Red Division; Mountain Pointe -- 7th John Anderson; Tolleson -- 7th Green Divison; Betty Fairfax -- 7th Purple Division; Boulder Creek -- 8th Red Division; Chaparral -- 8th Green Division; Poston Butte -- 8th Purple Division; St. Marys -- 3rd in four-team Silver Division.
